- 신규 맵은 1.0 버전 런칭할 때 공개할 예정
3. 사막맵, 설원맵의 날씨 영향
- 날씨 때문에 생존을 위협받는 경우, 예를 들어 추위로 사망하는 경우는 없을 것이다. 날씨 자체가 캐릭터에 직접적인 영향을 미치지는 않고, 효과라고만 보면 된다. 시각적이나 소리에 큰 영향을 주는 것뿐이고, 직접적 영향을 주는 요소로 만들 생각은 없다.
4. 최적화 문제
- 최적화 관련해서는 최근에 '섀도우 캐싱'을 적용했다. 더 먼 거리에서 그림자가 적용될 수 있게 하는 기능이다. 지형 관련해서도 계속 개선을 하고 있고, 최근 우크라이나 출신의 엔지니어를 고용해서 기능을 개선 중이다. 앞서 말했듯이 배틀그라운드는 단거리 주행이 아니라 마라톤이라서 향후 5년을 바라보면서 개선을 진행하려고 한다.
5. 킬 캠
- 그렇다. 킬 캠은 지금 만들고 있다. 프로토 타입이 있긴 하지만 언제 넣어야 하는지 시기를 확정하긴 힘들다. 추가하더라도 절대 듀오나 스쿼드에서는 넣지 않고 솔로 랭크만 도입할 예정이다. 듀오나 스쿼드에서 킬 캠은 정말 큰 영향을 줄 수 있다. 다른 플레이어가 어디 있는지 알려줄 수 있지 않나. 게임 플레이에 직접 영향을 줄 수 있는 부분이다. 대신 솔로 랭크에서 내가 죽었을 때, 킬 캠으로 다른 플레이어를 확인한다면 핵인지 아닌지 알 수도 있을 거고, 아니라면 상대 플레이어에게 배우는 부분도 있을 거라고 본다.
-정식 서비스에서 준비하고 있는 건, 3D 리플레이 기능
6. 야간맵
-사실 야간 맵은 프로토 타입을 준비하고 있다. 나이트 비전, 야간 투시경은 필요 없을 거다. 좀 어두운 정도고, 시야가 완전히 차단될 정도로 까맣게 어두운 밤은 아니다. 우리는 그냥 시네마틱한 느낌, 영화적인 느낌을 선사하려고 하고 있다. 영화 속에 있는 느낌이랄까. 그런 느낌을 제공하는 게 1차적인 목표다.
-야간 맵을 통해서 좀 다른 느낌의 플레이를 선사하고 싶었던 거라고 보면 된다. 그렇게 되면 플레이의 긴장감도 올라가고 게임 방식을 밤에 맞춰서 바꿔야 한다. 어느 지역에 무엇이 있고 뭐가 좋고 하는 게 아니라, 얼마나 훌륭한 전략을 구사할 수 있느냐가 핵심이 될 것 같다. 그런 전략을 테스트하는 맵으로는 야간 맵이 좋은 기회가 될 수 있다고 본다.
7. 콘솔
- PS4보다 XBOX에서 먼저 공개할 예정
- 조준 보정의 경우는 '데스티니'와 같은 형태
- PC와 크로스 플레이가 될 수도 안 될 수도 있음. 혹은 선택적.
- 4K 대응이 될 수도 있음
8. 모바일 어플리케이션
- 게임플레이의 부가적인 기능이 어플을 통해 지원될 수도 있음.
